Stuff to Watch: AirSimmer Airbus A320 Series

While poking around, I happened to notice that a predominately Russian outfit called AirSimmer is hard at work on an Airbus A320 series add-on for FS9 and FSX. They appear to have been at it for quite some time, dating back to 2006. However, it looks like they may be getting serious about bringing their product to market as of the last few months, with regular monthly updates being posted at their site! There are some nice screenshots and video of their progress, too.

It looks like they are partnering with Flight1, and have plans to incorporate updates from Navigraph into their FMS. I am looking forward to seeing this one released, as it looks very nice. I think the Wilco Airbus products are OK, but it will be nice to see another take on these wildly popular planes. AirSimmer also appears to have long-range plans to do an A330 and an A340 after they finish up the A320 series. Probably not much of a stretch, given the commonality in the flight decks among all recent Airbus models.
