Chris, I like your 'mini' reviews because they are written from a users perspective (with no commercial bias). I might just get this one because I had many hours of enjoyment with their previous version and I like to unplug the computers now and again and fly RNAV.

I'm still disappointed with their 757 because of the poor FMC, and lack of urgency to fix it. I have been desperately waiting for the LVLD 757 for years.

Love your blog, as another seriously addicted 'pretend flyer' I relate to your posts a lot.

Regards,
Rod (a.k.a CaptVirtual)

Rod,

Thanks for the kind words! The blog is a labor of love for me, and I am glad that people out there enjoy reading it. I should find more to post here, but things have been very slow lately...summer doldrums, I suppose.

The CS 757 FMC is getting much better compared to what it used to be, but I agree it can be a frustrating experience at times. My main complaint at this point is that it doesn't list all the available terminal procedures at large, complicated airports such as KDFW. It gets annoyingly cumbersome when I have to manually program in the waypoints.

I would love to see the Level-D 757, as well. I wish they would at least give us a progress report or something...at least tell us what they are working on with it from time to time. At least give us some confidence that they are making progress!
